He was able to create trusting relationships with adults in CCPY, and worked hard on his goals of staying in school and staying out of fights.  The Principal and staff at the school have been pleased to acknowledge the positive changes in his behavior. This summer he joined our Step Ahead program, and the young man who at the beginning of the year was a loner, and extremely resistant, volunteered to help at our 3 day camp retreat.  He worked willingly, side by side with other youth, some of whom he hadn’t met before, and was a great asset to our team.
